Shopify’s built-in zones and profiles can remove shipping rates for a region, but buyers just hit a dead-end “no shipping methods available” screen with no explanation — and pickup or digital items can still slip through. Checkout blocks the order — before payment
A native checkout validation stops order completion for restricted addresses and shows your custom message, with the product’s name included. Everyone else checks out normally.
